The Community Mikvah is Located on the Premises of Shomrei Torah.

The mikvah fee is $20.00

In light of the evolving situation, The Fair Lawn Mikvah will be open by appointment only.

Please call or text 201-468-0098 to schedule an appointment.

Please review the following guidelines:

  • All preparations for the Mikvah MUST be done at home- including showering. Immediately prior to immersing, please inspect                    yourself and wash your hands.
  • Please DO NOT come to the Mikvah if you are having any symptoms of illness. Please note, if you are currently in quarantine you            may not use the Mikvah. If a member of your family has tested positive, please contact the Mikvah in advance of your scheduled              day of immersion to determine if you may use the Mikvah.
  • Appointments will be spaced out to allow for time to clean and sanitize the preparation rooms and mikvah railing after each person.
  • Please arrive EXACTLY at the allotted time for your appointment. If you arrive at the mikvah early, please wait outside the building            before coming in. Our space allows for three women to be in the mikvah at once and we work to ensure as efficient a process as              possible; however, if you arrive at the same time as someone else, please maintain social distancing.
  • All payments to the Mikvah MUST be made online at  Shomrei-torah.org/mikvahpayment
  • Clean towels and robes are provided by the Mikvah, but women may bring their own if they are more comfortable.
  • When coming to the mikvah and at all times while in the mikvah building, please cover your face with a mask or scarf. This will be            removed and replaced at the same time as the robe.
  • Please wear gloves when coming into and exiting the building.

The Fair Lawn Mikvah continues to have protocols in place to ensure that attending the mikvah will be a safe and healthy experience, including cleaning the preparation rooms and mikvah railing nightly and in between users, as well as filtering and chlorinating the mikvah waters regularly. Many of our protocols can be found in the most updated JOWMA guidelines. All current Mikvah ladies have been trained in our new protocols, which includes, but is not limited to, wearing gloves, masks, and maintaining proper distance between individuals. Thank you to the volunteers who have stepped up to fill in as mikvah ladies when needed.

Thank you for your patience and collaboration through these challenging times.

The Keylim Mikvah (mikvah for utensils) is open during limited hours. Registration is required.
