Talya Schmidt, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist based in Englewood, New Jersey. She currently works in her private practice and several subacute rehabilitation settings. Dr. Schmidt approaches clinical treatment as a collaborative process, and she helps clients identify their strengths, current challenges, and goals for therapy. She develops tailored interventions to help each client effect positive change by exploring patterns of past behaviors and relationships, developing a repertoire of coping skills, and working through barriers to progress. In her private practice, she primarily treats older adolescents and adults who are experiencing depression, relationship challenges, and stage-of-life changes. She specializes in treating adolescents and adults with anxiety or trauma-related issues. Additionally, Dr. Schmidt presents mindfulness workshops to introduce what it means to become “more present,” both in theory and in practice, to improve quality of life and relationship satisfaction. 

Dr. Schmidt completed specialized post-doctoral training in trauma-focused therapy at the RDTC at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. She earned her doctorate at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and completed her undergraduate education at Yeshiva University's Stern College for Women. Rachel Hercman, LCSW is a psychotherapist working with individuals and couples. She is in private practice on the Upper West Side and is on staff at Maze Women's Health in Manhattan. Rachel lectures locally and nationally on relationships, sexual intimacy, self-esteem, and trauma, and she trains Kallah teachers and mental health professionals. Rachel lives with her family in Riverdale, New York.
