Lila Levinson Bat Mitzvah Program

We are excited for another incredible year of the Shomrei Torah Bat Mitzvah Program. This year, the program will be a mother-daughter program, exploring Jewish Women through the Ages, using the Matan Bat Mitzvah Program. We will connect to the Jewish women of our past, in order to help shape our future, with the help of the Matan Bat Mitzvah program. “Jewish Women Through the Ages” examines the lives and middot of great women in Jewish History from one of our Imahot, Rivkah, through modern day leaders such as Nechama Leibowitz and Rabanit Kapach of Jerusalem.

The program includes:

• Studies of Jewish sources in mother-daughter pairs followed by group discussions
• Related projects including art, music, theater
• End of year celebration

The program is geared for girls in 5th – 7th grade.and will be run by Chaiy Haimovici, 3rd Grade Morah at RYNJ and Shomrei Torah Teen Director.

This year’s Bat Mitzvah program will run from November  – June with classes approximately once a month, generally on Motzei Shabbat or Sunday Mornings.  All classes will take place at Shomrei Torah. The cost is $118 for Shomrei Torah members and $136 -for non-members. We would like to move very quickly and aim to have our first class in November. Please click here to register.
