Congregation Shomrei Torah / Sisterhood

The Sisterhood of Shomrei Torah was created to increase women's involvement our congregation.

We have four main goals:

1. Goodwill

• Create a warm and inclusive environment through a feeling of camaraderie, thereby increasing involvement in our synagogue and events. Lasting friendships are formed through participation in Sisterhood.

2. Cultural

• Provide appealing programs that enrich our lives and expand our minds. These can have Jewish or secular themes, while remaining within the framework of Torah ideals.

3. Chesed and Community Service

• As events both fortunate and unfortunate occur within our community, Sisterhood remains a part of members' lives. We provide meals for those who have suffered a loss or who have become new parents. Cholim are always remembered. Our ongoing involvement in this crucial area continues to expand and generate goodwill.

4. Fundraising

• We are proud of our role in maintaining our shul's financial well being. The Sisterhood's regular contributions to the Shul's budget make a vital difference.
